Description

STEMify your Instruction

Our science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) series covers aspects of science, technology, and math in adult education. The sessions will build on one another and participants will benefit most by taking all of the sessions (receiving a STEM digital badge!). But it is possible to attend just the sessions you wish to attend. In either case you must register for each session separately.

Description: Using technology to develop mathematical thinking can include so much more than using math apps and playing math games on a computer. Many technology tools can be used to develop and support students’ learning of mathematical concepts. In this workshop, we will discuss the strategic use of these tools in the teaching and learning of mathematics. Tech tools will be identified and modeled for the purpose of helping teachers to become knowledgeable and skilled in the practice of using technology to strengthen students' mathematical understanding. Please bring your own mobile device (BYOD).
